As mentioned before, the girls basketball team here at Trinity University is working just as hard in the off season and during the regular season. But working hard does not necessarily mean you cannot have as much fun. The girls have deemed Thursday open gym days as dress up days. The kick off theme? Retro day. Girls took this theme in many different directions. There were neon shirts and zebra stripped leggings, along with leg warmers and tie dye and even knee high socks. Although the dress was goofy, there was anything but joking around on the court. Once the girls hit the floor it is all business. There were swished three point shots and unique post moves as the heads of onlookers did a double take. This kind of team chemistry only makes the team stronger. When the team does activities such as these, it helps them become closer together and eventually takes the place, and relationships, they had on their high school team. For me, it's time to retire my "Spartan" sign, and make a "Tiger" one.
